VictoriaLogo

Victoria's line runs from the Theatre Station to the Botanical Gardens. It's coloured light blue on the Tube map.

History

The Victoria line opened in 1968. Designed to relieve congestion on other lines, it was the first new tube line in London for over 50 years. It's the sixth most used line on the railway, carrying 200 million passengers every year.

Overview

Victoria's line starts from the sheds and the first stop is at the Theatre Station. After this, it arrives at International Underground Station before continuing onto the Hospital Station. After crossing tracks with Bakerloo's Line, it reaches the Museum Station before terminating at the Botanical Gardens.

In real life

The real Victoria line runs from zone 2 in the south of London to zone 3 in the north-east of London. Unlike most of the other train routes, it runs entirely below ground. It was built in the 1960s and was the first new tube line in London for over 50 years.
